The Location

Situated directly on the water, Sun Kissed Cove offers the perfect home base for an unforgettable retreat with loved ones. The location is perfect as you'll enjoy beautiful Lake Norman with peace and quiet, yet are only minutes away from Publix Grocery Store, restaurants and indoor and outdoor entertainment options - the best of both worlds of privacy and convenience!
The Space and Amenities
The main floor of the home features a large living room with comfy seating, a 60" SmartTV and opens up to the adjacent kitchen and dining area. The well-stocked kitchen includes all the necessities for whipping up a tasty meal for indoor or outdoor dining on the large deck just steps away. The main floor also features the master bedroom with a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a large closet, dual sinks and large shower.
The upper level features 2 bedrooms - one with a king-sized bed, a cozy reading nook and a Samsung "Frame" Art TV. The other bedroom has 1 queen-sized bed and 1 set of bunk beds (twin over full), a 43" SmartTV and bean bag chairs perfect for keeping the kids entertained when not enjoying the outdoors. The upstairs also includes a full bathroom and day bed (full sized) in the common/landing area.
The downstairs basement is the perfect hang out spot for the family featuring a large sectional with a sleeper sofa, 1 set of bunk beds (twin over twin), a 70" SmartTV, wet bar area with fridge, foosball table, darts, Nintendo Wii, arcade games, an assortment of movies and games and a full bathroom with shower. This level also provides direct walk-out access to the lake and a large covered outside patio area perfect for enjoying the outdoors with a little more shade.

Our family absolutely loves Lake Norman and we spend as much time on the lake as possible! Merritt grew up in Mooresville, NC living on the lake and has always had the calling to return to the "lake front" lifestyle. Roger has fond childhood memories of days out on the water tubing, knee boarding and learning to ski with his cousins.
After years of monitoring the market and evaluating the trade-offs of the lake-front lifestyle vs. longer commute times to work and school in Charlotte, we finally took the plunge in the Summer of 2018 with a compromise of purchasing this wonderful 2nd home. We are thrilled our boys (Tripp and Tobin) will have the opportunity to make the same life-long memories we experienced while growing up.
When we aren't able to enjoy the home ourselves, we love being able to share it with others. Our hope is that our guests enjoy the home and lake as much as we do and will create life-long memories with their families as well.
Lakeside stay 40 minute from Charlotte. This property is a real gem wonderfully set out everything you need including the dock right on the lake it is a real pleasure although It was a business trip actually made coming home in the evening a pleasure

The most relaxing vacation! Originally it was just my nieces and daughter and then friends showed up for a few days. The friends commented at least 3 times, how it was the most relaxed vacation they could remember and we concurred. It was very clean and organized. Everything was perfect down to the wonderful lake floats, kayaks, the fire pit, and especially the lake front covered gazebo with every amenity you could want. Even if it had rained every day, there would still have been plenty to do. Will definitely rent this property again.

Family Get-Away. Our family had a great time swimming, kayaking, fishing and just relaxing on the dock. The house is very comfortable and clean, kitchen is well stocked. Great location on the lake, with a beautiful view.

Lakefront vaca. Wonderful property for families. Kayaks were there and small boat for kids. Fire ring and dock area great for relaxing. Just a great time was had by my family and the house was well stocked and clean when we arrived. Hostess provided smores treats for kids and coffee for us. Her communication was excellent. Wonderful Lake Norman location and beautiful home!!! I highly recommend this Lake Norman home. Our family all agreed it was the best rental on the lake. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. We all spent most of our time on the terrific dock/ outdoor living space.
Our grand kids had an absolute blast using the many water toys made available! We were all very comfortable and slept well. We can't wait to return as we all feel we finally found the BEST Lake Norman rental home!

Wonderful vacation on Lake Norman. The house is right on the water with a dock to tie up our boat. The kayaks and extra life jackets and floats were very helpful! Plenty of room and 2 refrigerators inside with a small one at the dock. We made smores at the fire pit each night, which the kids loved! Quiet cove but very close to a marina to fill up the boat and jet ski. We loved our stay and will absolutely book again.

Lake house Livin. This house fit our groups needs perfectly (11 guys in our late twenties). The house was in clean condition when we arrived, all the beds were made and the 3 bathrooms were all cleaned and stocked with towels. The house had plenty of beds, but we also brought 2 air mattresses so fewer people would have to share. The kitchen and grill worked out well and we cooked almost all our meals at the house. Having a refrigerator in the kitchen, basement and on the dock was very convenient. Beautiful views from the porch off the kitchen, as well as off the dock and at night the fire pit was the perfect hangout spot. The weather was great so we really didn’t spend much time inside but if we has to there was tons of board games, puzzles, foosball, knee hockey, Nintendo Wii and other indoor activities provided. Since we were on the lake we obviously wanted to spend as much time on the water as possible so it was really nice that the owners provided access to their array of floats, kayaks, fishing rods and other water activities. All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Had everything we needed! What a delightful 5-day retreat! We enjoyed the house, the fire pit and the dock. Generous access to all the 'lake toys' kept us and our two kids busy and we didn't even miss having a boat for Saturday or Sunday (all boat rentals were booked over Memorial Day weekend). Would definitely consider returning again! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.

College Reunion. Our group of college friends (mostly young married couples) stayed for a long weekend. The property was exactly as described and owner was very accessible for questions. We made use of the boat dock, renting a pontoon boat one day, and the bonuses in the utility room were great. There were noodles, floats, corn hole board, etc. and the dock bar was incredible. Overall a great space with plenty of room for large families or groups. We would definitely come back and would strongly recommend this property.

The house was Beyond my expectations! We had an awesome ladies weekend for my bday. It was absolutely beautiful and the view was Amazing! Everything we needed was already in the home. The rooms were very spacious and it accommodates all my guests. The kids enjoyed the games that were provided in the home. I would definitely be renting this home again in the future. We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Norman home. It is extremely clean and had abundant sleeping options for the 7 of us. The fire pit outside was a nice addition (who can say no to breakfast s'mores :) ). Nearby hiking around Lake Norman added to our experience in this quiet part of town.

Great Lake, Great House, Great Owners. We’ve been renting vacation houses about twice a year for over 15 years. We don’t normally write reviews, but felt we had to do so for this one. We rented for two weeks at the end of June / beginning of July. When we arrived at the house, there was a welcome package waiting for us. A first time for us and a very pleasant surprise! The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, very large, with plenty of space for a large family vacation.
The amenities in the house are top notch. Having done this quite often, we normally bring our own Rokus and firesticks to have something to do when it rains. No need here as all the A/V equipment is equipped with streaming sticks for the TVs and bluetooth connectivity for the audio hookups. Quite nice to have this type of set up in a vacation home.
The outside of the house and the equipment provided is great as well. The dock has a covered bar, with a TV and audio equipment, allowing everyone to hang out by the dock through out the day. There’s a fire pit off to the side for hanging out in the evening. There’s a room with kayak equipment including life vests too. There’s a large charcoal grill as well. Again, all of it in great condition and we used all of it.
The location of the house on the lake is quite peaceful. The sun rises directly across from the back porch in the summer. The house is on one of the side coves of the lake. There’s some traffic throughout the day, but not much, and we were there during a holiday week. It’s in a great area as well. We rented a boat and the company dropped and picked up the boat right from the dock of the house. It was well worth it for activities during the day and going out to eat at some of the lake front restaurants during the evening. Since we were there for a bit, we even took a day trip to head up to the NC mountains, which is only about 90 minutes away. Well worth the trip.
Finally, the owners are great. Any issue that you have, they are great at getting back to you and are very understanding. They even went out of their way to return a small item of jewelry that our daughter left behind, that had quite a bit of sentimental value.
A great house for a lake vacation and we hope to be back.
